Her and her older sister shared a room and a bunk bed. Because she was so neat and her sister was so messy, her sister teased her by saying. "You even think my trash is too sloppy for your wastebasket!"
As soon as she could babysit she started to save money so that she could visit distant places. She kept a list of cities in Europe that she longed to see. At 18, she finally had enough money to take a her dream trip!
She loved her huge collection of model horses, and she rode real ones whenever she could. Her asthma and small size kept her from most sports, but on horseback she was finally big and powerful.
After her parents gave her an art set, She entered every art contest she could find. Once she even scooped up a great prize: free ice cream cones for a year!
In fourth grade, she had an extra-special assignment: creating little felt animals and stories for the kindergarten class. When her imagination made the children listen and laugh, she felt great.
